Throughout the seasons, the Marin Fairfax bicycle tackles commutes and urban rides with ease, thanks to its upright riding position, efficient frame geometry and reliable components. Triple-butted, hydroformed aluminum frame and carbon fiber fork work to optimize efficiency and ensure a comfortable, stable ride. Upright positioning and adjustable stem increase the rider's field of view and reduce strain on the hands, wrists and shoulders. Shimano Alivio triple crankset and a 9-speed cassette provide 27 gears for handling everything from easy climbs to aggressive sprints. Shimano shifters and derailleurs move you smoothly from gear to gear; trigger shifters operate intuitively for simple shifts. Linear-pull brakes are forged for strength and power modulated for controlled response. Double-wall rims and Vittoria Zaffiro 700x28 road tires withstand customary hard-surface abuse, providing a sporty ride. Marin ALP-Aerodynamic Lightweight Performance-saddle with gel is contoured for all-day comfort and anatomic support.
