Speed and comfort combine with the Cannondale Synapse Carbon 4 Compact road bicycle, a lightweight carbon steed that features a smooth, agile ride. Synapse carbon BB30 frame features optimized tube shaping to promote efficiency; relaxed geometry gives a more upright position for greater comfort and intuitive handling. Interchangeable seatpost system lets you quickly switch back and forth between firm-flex and soft-flex versions without having to remove the saddle. 51 and 54cm frames come with soft-flex seatpost for small riders; 56, 58 and 61cm frames come with firm-flex seatpost for larger riders; interchangeable post is not included. Full-carbon, offset dropout fork employs Synapse Active Vibration Elimination (SAVE) technology to effectively damp road vibration and increase comfort. Updated chainstay and seatstay SAVE system features 13% more vertical deflection than the previous version and stiffens the frame for higher responsiveness and driving power. BB30 bottom bracket shell design increases stiffness for improved power transfer. SRAM compact crankset is paired with a wide-ranging 11-32 cassette for the gearing versatility of a triple crankset without the weight or finicky shifting. SRAM Rival Double Tap shifters and derailleurs supply precise, snappy shifts throughout the 20 gear combinations. SRAM dual-pivot caliper brakes help save weight and maintain dependable braking performance. Mavic Aksium wheels are paired with Aksion tires for low rolling resistance and good all-around handling.
